Narrative Poems out of the Blue!

Writing your first book is an adventure!   I’m very lucky to have another adventure in my life, creating 75 narrative poems, that tell stories and adventures, undersea and on land, about 170 unique photographs.   Talks with Nature, is a joy for me, for it is all about good times, and nature looking its best in photographs.   I have learned such a respect for living things, that I consider a fish a person in their world, or a tree, or a flower, or even a leaf.   You will read, and may even hear, fish and trees talking!   Taking flights of imagination can be so much fun.   You are invited to light up your imagination, that will lead to a new path on your map of life!

Green Sea Turtle Poem

Coming back from a whale watch trip,
you never know, what you might get.
It's February fourteen, two thousand seven.
Whales are jumping from a watery heaven!
Blue Maui seas make special homes,
for families to grow, and not be alone.
Almost back to the harbor breakwater,
there must be more, to click the shutter.
Now, I'm an undersea guy,
with practice looking low and high.
There are two turtles on the rise.
Hurry, get ready for the prize!
Late sun, bouncing off the water,
paints the sea with more than color!
He's perfect, getting more air,
my only shot, with special care.
It's breathe and dive, and he is down,
to swim and forage in his hometown.
Just in case you didn't know,
here's some trivial, party info.
All Green Sea Turtles are brown,
which might raise a curious frown.
Inside, the fatty flesh is green,
so a confusing name goes unseen!

The above narrative, Green Sea Turtle (#63), is on page 235 of 274 in,
Talks with Nature, and the image covers page 236.  See this large turtle at the beginning of the Sea Life Gallery.

Talks With Nature
In Photographs and Narrative Poems

In the first poem, my Lemonpeel Angel friend tries to talk to me, and she names me Bubbles "for all those bubbles, out the ears."  A tree, an octopus, and others talk to me, and I do my share.  Being a good listener is important, even of vibes and auras, so you don't miss some of the nuances and marvels around you.  This is a simple book, in beautiful color, about the joys of a life!
